it was a matter of all of us getting involved, all of us staying committed, all of us sticking with our plan for a better future until it was complete. [applause] that's how we've always moved this country forward. each and every time we've made epic change -- from this country's founding to emancipation, to women's suffrage, to workers' rights -- it has not come from a man. it has come from a plan. it has come from a grassroots movement rallying around a cause. that's what the civil rights movement made possible -- foot soldiers like so many of you, sitting down at lunch counters, standing up for freedom; what made it possible for me to be here today -- americans throughout our history making our union more equal, making our union more just, making our union more perfect, one step at a time. that's what we need again. i need everybody here to go back to your neighborhoods, to go back to your workplaces, to go to churches and go to the barbershops and got to the beauty shops, and tell them we've got more work to do. tell them we can't wait to organize. tell them that the time for action

you can push us, push us, push us, torment us and abuse us. now they have our attention and now we have a movement called the conservative movement, the tea party movement, and it is expanding, the only forward looking movement that supports the constitution, capitalism, and private property rights. >>neil: did you get the alert they are all extremist and dangerous? >>guest: the extremist and dangerous are in oval office and in congress and they scare the hell out of me and they adopt the failed foreign economic systems that are nothing america has ever endorsed but the american people, this is not, this is not a deep philosophical issue, they are negatively affected by what they are doing, the government is doing to their families. >>neil: tell me how you truly fell. >>guest: you look as handsome as always. >>neil: and you sound as handsome. tonight we will talk to the guy who rocked the senate candidacy in alaska, joe miller. as tarp winds down, is top cop loading up? hey, lawrence, my parents want to talk to you. oh. about what? uh, they do

guest: we use a the same automated telephone system we've been using. there are more challenges coming in as fewer and fewer younger people are using land lines. from a polling perspective it's not a huge issue in 2010 because the turnout of younger adults is likely to be lower. younger adults, whether they have a land line or not tend to be much more supportive of president obama than their elders. and, as a result, if you get a good sample of yuck adults in your poll -- young adults it works out fairly well. in 2012 there will be methods experimented with for folks who don't have a land line. host: comparing that to an actual person on the phone talking to a potential voter do you get a different feel when you're talking one on one versus the automated system? guest: well, the automated system has couple advantages. number one from a trending point of view, when we ask a person about barack obama's job approval, the person is hearing the exact same voice with the exact same inflection and the exact same nuance that a person heard on january 20, 2009.

terry, eaddy to tell us that. you need to give us a plan. >> i have a plan. you have failed to balance the budget. >> no, you have not given us a plan. you talk about spending and all of the cutting. you are cut out of the same cloth as the obama administration. bigger government and more spending. >> i solve the obama campaign from health care reform to health insurance for everybody. doctors have said that if we could get government out of our health care they could lower the prices by 60% or 70%. we would not need insurance. we could afford it out of our pocket. if we should provide anything as the state administration, it should be the county hospital system invigorated -- reinvigorated. we are not going to lead people bleeding on the sidewalk. >> obama health care reform is absurd -- agreed? >> i think it is a state's rights issue. it is not for the federal government to decide. it is up to us to decide how we live and how we will govern ourselves. i believe we lived in the greatest and wealthiest country in the world and we should be able to find a way

give us a couple more years. if it's not better then, y can throw us out. after all, you left the republicans in for a long time. at least give us four years to ry to fix this mess. what i would like to see them talk about now is two things. one, and most important, what are we going to do in the next twyears and who is more likely to do it? where are the jobs are going to come from, small business, manufacturing and clean energy? where is the money to finance them? banks and corporations in america today have lots of money that they can invest right now. banks have $1.8 trillion in cash reserves uncommitted to loans. more than enough to get us out. and the third thing is the job training thing i mentioned earlier, how are they going to train people for the things that are there? then the democrats ought to talk about the republican agenda. they want to repeal financial reform. they want to repeal the best student loan reformn history. health care needs fixing, but if you repeal it, you'll go back to what we had this year, 2009, in the depths that recession
